The Curation Markets Team has joined Revision an international network of technology entrepreneurs, policy-makers, activists, scientists and investors that focus on the long-term social impact of emerging technologies such as Blockchain, AI and Big Data.
The 19th of November, as Co-creators, we will host our own workshop on Decentralized Attention Economy and Curation Markets.
What is this about:
A war is raging on the internet: Content creators are fighting relentlessly for our attention, which is becoming the scarcest resource of our time. And the world’s biggest internet companies are continuously expanding their monopoly over the power to direct this attention.
Blockchain technology can disrupt and disintermediate the attention economy. Programmable crypto-tokens allow us to price the value of information and create free, open, competitive markets for attention. In this workshop you can learn how this works, why it matters and how you might use it for your own work.
Outline:
We will start off with an introduction to decentralized attention networks and curation markets.
After that, we will have 1-2 founders, who work in this niche of the blockchain space, present their projects.
We will then move to a workshop format, where participants can form teams and develop their own ideas for tokenized attention networks under the expert guidance of the entrepreneurs.
The event will be two and a half hours long. We will keep it light-hearted and intersperse it with social games and informal networking.
